The Paramount Theater of Charlottesville

Volunteers are essential to The Paramount and we simply could not operate without their contribution of time and talent. From assisting with event entry and ushering guests to their seats to serving on committees and lending a hand to special projects, there are a variety of ways that volunteers can contribute to the Theater and play the role of ambassador.

We think volunteers are special people and there is no specific background or resume required to become one. We look for reliable people who love the performing arts, have a friendly demeanor, and a desire to be part of our community. Our volunteers enjoy each other and quickly build a network of friendships within their roles at the Theater.

Volunteers give their time to events of their choice, plus receive invitations to appreciation events and programs. Coffee and popcorn are always free while volunteering, and there’s no need to worry about parking – we’ll cover that for you.

Every month, one volunteer is singled out and honored with a special distinction – Volunteer of The Month – and featured in our monthly Volunteer Newsletter. Every year, one volunteer is recognized for truly standing out and earns the title of Volunteer of The Year.
