Returning to Live Performance
It is with great joy and gratitude that The Oratorio Society of Virginia returns to public life for its annual favorite, Christmas at The Paramount, nearly two years to the day after its last performance. Join Music Director Michael Slon and 60 of our community’s finest singers for this beloved Charlottesville holiday tradition.
This year’s concert will feature excerpts from Antonio Vivaldi’s timeless and joyful Gloria, as well as music from Sergei Rachmaninoff’s stirring and powerful All-Night Vigil. The concert will also offer holiday works from Virginia’s own Adolphus Hailstork, Abbie Betinis, and more. In keeping with this event’s tradition, The Society will also perform an assortment of familiar seasonal favorites and will be joined on stage by an orchestra and soloists. We hope you will bring your whole family to the historic Downtown Mall to join in the community spirit of Christmas as The Oratorio Society steps onto the stage once again.
