General Ticket Info

How to Order

You may place your ticket order online, by phone (434.979.1333), or in person at The Paramount’s Box Office from 10 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday. The Box Office is also open 2 hours before any show and 30 minutes before any movie. Orders made more than a week prior to the performance date will be mailed. Orders placed less than a week in advance will be held at the Box Office for pickup during regular business hours or at Will Call two hours before the show.

Receiving Your Tickets

Tickets will be mailed within two weeks from the time you place your order. All ticket orders placed less than a week prior to the performance date will be held at the Box Office for pickup, either during regular business hours, or at Will Call one hour prior to the performance. If your tickets have not been received by one week prior to the show date, please call the Box Office at 434.979.1333.

Handling Fees

A convenience fee applies to each ticket purchased over the telephone or online. These orders may be subject to an additional $2.50 shipping fee. Tickets for multiple shows may be included on a single order. All ticketing fees are waived when tickets are ordered in person at the Box Office.

Preserving The Paramount

Tickets to all Paramount Theater events includes a small donation based on ticket price to The Paramount’s Historic Preservation Fund, which supports the long-term maintenance, restoration, and improvements of Charlottesville’s Paramount Theater.

Ticket Refunds & Exchanges

All Paramount Theater ticket sales are final. Paramount Theater supporters at the Star Circle level ($1,000 annually) and above may exchange tickets for alternate Paramount Presents events. Tickets for Paramount Presents events (not including rental performances) that you are unable to use may be donated to The Paramount Theater’s annual fund as a tax-deductible contribution, provided that they are returned to the Box Office at least 48 hours prior to the given performance.

Lost Tickets

If you lose your tickets, The Paramount’s Box Office is able to issue replacement tickets to the purchaser on record. Call the Box Office as soon as possible after the loss of tickets to arrange for your duplicates. For your protection, replacement tickets will not be issued earlier than two hours prior to the performance time.

Severe Weather Policy

In the case of severe weather conditions, Paramount Theater events go on as scheduled if the artist is in Charlottesville and ready to perform. Only if the artist is unable to perform as scheduled will the show be postponed or cancelled. Tune in to local TV or radio stations for information on postponements and/or cancellations.

  • Student Rush Persons with a valid student ID or proof of enrollment are eligible to purchase remaining tickets to all Paramount Presents performances at a 50% discount at the Box Office 45 minutes prior to show time.
  • Youth/Child Tickets Youth/Child tickets are for patrons ages 12 and younger. All children must have a ticket (no "babes in arms").
  • Group Sales Groups of 20 or more attending Paramount performances receive a 10% discount on the price of tickets (not valid for all shows). The complete order for a group should be placed at one time. Please contact the Box Office at 434.979.1333 for more information.
