The comedy road show LAF (Laughter Arts Festival) returns to The Paramount Theater with another hilarious evening headlined by three hot standup comics. This season’s edition of the unique comedy tour -- starring Colin Quinn, Caroline Rhea, and Christian Finnegan -- makes a stop in Charlottesville on Sunday, November 18 for a special 7 pm show.
Special Media Sponsor for this event is WAHU Fox 27 Charlottesville.
Colin Quinn began his comic career in New York as a regular on the comedy show circuit. A writer and feature player on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, he hosted “Weekend Update” and established recurring characters including Lenny the Lion, Joe Blow, The Thank You Guy, and himself in the skit “Colin Quinn Explains the NY Times.” Quinn has hosted or co-hosted Remote Control and Colin Quinn's Manly World on MTV, Caroline's Comedy Hour on A&E, and Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn on Comedy Central. He wrote and starred in the MTV comedy short Going Back to Brooklyn with Ben Stiller. In addition to his TV work, Quinn appeared in the movies Who's the Man?, Married to the Mob, The Roxbury Guys, and Comedian.
For the last seventeen years, Caroline Rhea has performed to sold-out audiences in top comedy clubs all over the U.S. and Canada. Known as Aunt Hilda on the WB's sitcom Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, Rhea is also the host of NBC's The Biggest Loser, and has made numerous appearances on MTV's Half-Hour Comedy Hour, Comic Strip Live and Caroline's Comedy Hour. Other TV credits include The Caroline Rhea Show, The Drew Carey Show, and Comedy Central's Pulp Comic, Comic Relief 8 and One Night Stand 2005. In addition, Rhea appeared in the pilot of HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. Rhea’s feature credits include The Perfect Man, Man on the Moon, Christmas with the Kranks, and Ready to Rumble.
New York-based comedian, writer, and actor Christian Finnegan plays comedy clubs all over the country (including Caroline's, Stand Up NY, and The Improv). His television credits include Comedy Central's Premium Blend and Chappelle's Show, NBC's Late Friday, and VH1's Movie Obsession and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. In addition to his television work, Finnegan is the co-creator of Changing Gears, a short series for Zilo Networks, and is currently a contributing writer for Jest Magazine.
