Dr. Maya Angelou Postpones Paramount visit

Dr. Maya Angelou’s appearance at The Paramount Theater, previously scheduled for Thursday, August 30, has been postponed at the request of her management.

This spoken word event with the Pulitzer Prize-nominated poet, educator, historian, actress, playwright, civil-rights activist, producer, and director has been rescheduled for Thursday, October 4, 2007 at 8 pm.

All current ticket holders may use their seats for the new October date The Paramount is contacting ticket buyers to notify them about the postponement. Anyone who is unable to attend on the rescheduled date may return their tickets by September 14 for credit towards another Paramount event or a full refund.

In addition, tickets for October 4 are now on sale for new purchasers. Anyone with questions should contact The Paramount's Box Office at 434.979.1333.
