Sean Connery fans and action/adventure film devotees have two reasons to attend The Paramount's Summer Film Series when the schedule continues with the classic James Bond flick Thunderball on Saturday, August 6 and submarine thriller The Hunt for Red October on Sunday, August 7.
1965’s Thunderball, the 4th James Bond film, sends Connery's Agent 007 on a mission to recover two stolen nuclear bombs before Secret Services arch-enemy SPECTRE can carry out a massive extortion scheme. In 1990's The Hunt for Red October, Connery plays the USSR's best submarine captain, who violates his orders and heads for the USA. CIA analyst Alec Baldwin is the only one who thinks Connery may not be trying to start a war.
Thunderball will show at 7:00 pm on August 6, and The Hunt for Red October will show at 2:00 pm on August 7. Tickets are available in advance through the theater’s Box Office, which will also open two hours prior to each showing time. Tickets are $6, with a Youth/Child price of $4 applying to those 18 and younger. All seats are general admission.
The Paramount's Summer Film Series continues in August with Top Gun on Saturday, August 20 and Singin' in the Rain on Sunday, August 21. Titles and dates are subject to change.
Additional movie titles will be shown at The Paramount throughout the coming year.
