The love of the performing arts is something everyone shares, making The Paramount the ideal forum for enriching us individually and as a community. Because The Paramount can only hope to realize this potential through widespread community involvement, the support of thousands of individuals and corporations since our opening in 2004 has been especially gratifying.
But there is still a great deal to accomplish. In these challenging times, we must maintain this magnificent theater, devise a financial strategy to sustain a first-class schedule, and place our educational and outreach programs on a sound financial footing.

Supporters of The Paramount are critical to our success
Enter The Paramount today, and you know immediately you are in a very special place. There is simply no more beautiful performance space in Charlottesville or the surrounding community. With a capacity of 1,040, The Paramount possesses an intimacy that is hard to duplicate. Members of the audience are never more than 75 feet from the stage, no matter where they sit.
In this, our Fifth Anniversary year, we expect to welcome over 60,000 patrons through the doors of the Theater for more than 100 events.
For many of the same reasons, The Paramount has become a preferred venue for performers. Looking out from the stage, they immediately recognize that Charlottesville is fortunate to have such a superb hall, and they respond with magnificent performances for The Paramount’s audiences. Contributions from Paramount supporters make all of the theater’s operations posible.
Event sponsors keep the best coming
The intimate size of our theater makes attending a Paramount performance exciting, but our size also functions as a financial constraint. If we are to maintain the quality of our schedule and make tickets to these high-caliber performances widely affordable, we must seek sponsors to underwrite part of the costs our performances.

all of these are funds we administer to support our mission to Educate, Enchant, Enrich, and Enlighten. If you, your company, or your organization has a passion, we can direct your support in a targeted way to have the greatest impact on the area of our operations most important to you.
Like every non-profit organization, The Paramount depends on private and corporate contributions to fund a significant portion of its daily operations. This year we expect individual gifts and show sponsorships to contribute over 30% of our overall operating budget. Without the support of The Paramount’s supporters and event sponsors we simply could not open and operate the Theater.
