The Paramount Theater believes that performing arts are an essential part of every child’s education. As a non-profit organization, we depend on private and corporate contributions to subsidize the cost of tickets for students and teachers and provide scholarships so that all students have an opportunity to experience live performing arts in our historic theater and be exposed to the life changing experience that only the arts can bring!

The generosity of our Arts Education Partners has made it possible for over 95,000 students and teachers from all over Central Virginia to attend live performances at The Paramount since it’s re-opening in 2004.

In 2012-13, over 12,800 students and teachers from 52 public schools (10 school systems), 28 private schools and 38 home school groups attended education performances reaching ages Pre-K to adult education.  Approximately 4,000 students benefitted from financial assistance thanks to funding from our Arts Education Partners!

Please consider supporting the 2013-14 Arts Education Season (performances and dates to be announced in late June).  Your donation provides the opportunity for all children to attend school and public performances.
