Ravi Shankar, world-renowned master of the Indian sitar, was already one of India’s top classical artists when Beatles guitarist George Harrison studied with him in 1966. Shankar’s association with the Beatles made him an international star, enabling him to pursue his mission to bring the music of the East to Western ears. Shankar will perform with his daughter and sitar disciple, Anoushka.
