SGGL 21st Reunion Concert

Speidel, Goodrich, Goggin, & Lille (SGGL)

To Benefit Young Life

Save the date for an event you don’t want to miss!  In 1983 Speidel, Goodrich, Goggin & Lille (SGGL) was told by managers and agencies alike that a harmony/acoustic guitar brand of music would "not make it in any marketplace."Twenty  years, more than 1,600 performances from New York to Florida and 80,000+ albums later, SGGL continues to play to sell -out crowds in concert halls like the Barns at Wolf Trap, the Birchmere of D.C., Nashville's Blue Bird, Atlanta's Eddie's Attic, and New York's Wetlands. With clever song writing, freshness, warmth, energy & wit, why wouldn’t this make you feel good?

The band formed in the spring of 1983 when UVA students Rusty Speidel, Tom Goodrich and Michael Goggin got together as SG&G. When Goggin left to invest more time in law school here at UVA, Michael Lille signed on to make the band SG&L. Then the band reformed to become SGGL.

Young Life in Central Virginia presents Charlottesville’s own SGGL live in a reunion concert, providing an opportunity to enjoy great music in a beautiful setting while supporting Young Life’s outreach to central Virginia teens.

“Wholesome, earnest, likable, handsome and exceedingly popular ... their harmonies are astonishing... with a penchant for sly humor." -The Washington Post
