Mountain music monarch Ralph Stanley -- two-time Grammy winner, member of the Grand Ole Opry, and Virginia native -- celebrates 60 years in show business with this appearance featuring The Seldom Scene, one of the most acclaimed bluegrass bands of all time. National Medal of Arts recipient Stanley received Grammy nods for both the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack and his chilling rendition of “O Death.” Following a hiatus, The Seldom Scene -- Ben Eldridge (banjo), Dudley Connell (guitar) Lou Reid (mandolin), Fred Travers (dobro), and Ronnie Simpkins (bass) are back with their release, Scenechronized.
