New date!

The Paramount has contacted all ticket holders for the performance, who will be able to use their January 17 tickets for the new March 27 date.  Anyone unable to attend on March 27 should contact the box office by February 22 to return their tickets for credit towards another Paramount event or a full refund.

Having grown from a community arts organization based in West Philadelphia to a dance company acclaimed throughout the world, The Philadelphia Dance Company (Philadanco) is celebrating 37 years of providing exceptional dance performances.  Famed for innovative choreography blending African-American-based dance with ballet, jazz, and modern, the company appears nationally and internationally for about 40 weeks each year.  Joan Myers Brown and her 17 dancers will bring "blazing physicality and commitment" (The Village Voice) to this exciting mixed repertory program.

This project is partially supported by a grant from Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour, a program developed and funded by the Heinz Endowments; the William Penn Foundation; the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency; and The Pew Charitable Trusts; and administered by Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation.
