John Henry uses storytelling, drama, and music to bring this well-known American folklore figure to life. Henry’s incredible size and strength became legendary as he laid track for the railroads. No one could match his skill or endurance ... until the invention of the steam-powered locomotive. Mad River Theater Works creates vibrant, evocative plays based on American history, showing the grit and humanity of characters from the past in a unique theatrical style that appeals to audiences of all ages.
