Betty Buckley has “the best pipes in the musical theatre” (Variety).   From her Tony Award-winning performance as Grizabella in Cats to her interpretation of Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard, Buckley has played some of Broadway’s greatest roles -- Martha Jefferson in 1776, Catherine in Pippin, the title character in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Mama Rose in Gypsy, Margaret White in Carrie. This event will show why, in a concert of “renditions [that] are definitive, moving and letter-perfect" (Entertainment Weekly).   Playing for Buckley is Kenny Werner, a jazz pianist of seemingly infinite capacity.  Werner takes audiences on lyrical but never predictable journeys through the vast seas of improvised music. With effortless playing, he redefines the innovation and intensity at the heart of jazz music's spontaneity.
