Folk singer, musician, and composer Arlo Guthrie gave his first solo concert way back in 1961. In 1967, he penned "Alice's Restaurant," his satirical, dead-pan protest against the Vietnam War draft. He appeared at the seminal Woodstock music festival two years later. Guthrie has rarely performed alone since those Woodstock days, but now he hits the road solo, playing the piano, six- and twelve-string guitar, harmonica, and a dozen other instruments, weaving hilarious tales and anecdotes seamlessly into his performance.

The Buzzard Hollow Quartet -- Kurt Dressel on acoustic and electric guitars, Tim
Anderson on vocals and acoustic guitar,
Sonny Layne on bass and vocals, and Jeff Saine on pedal steel and
accordion -- was formed by some of Charlottesville's
long-standing musicians who have played together and separately in
various configurations for the past 20 years. Digging deep into the folk and jazz of the past, The Buzzard Hollow Boys transpose it into the
Americana of the present.
