Rooted in the great tradition of Bulgarian opera, the Bulgarian State Opera consistently presents unique productions combining the best of opera in Eastern and Western Europe. Founded in 1996 by acclaimed tenor Ivan Kyurkchiev, the Opera gives more than 70 performances a year. With a roster of distinguished singers, impressive choir members, outstanding ballet dancers, and exceptional orchestral musicians, the Opera's interpretive maturity has gained international recognition on the world's most prestigious opera stages, including Salzburg, Zurich, Lisbon, and Madrid. Their production of Verdi's Aida is sure to be a sumptuous and opulent evening!
Recommended for grades 9 to12.
Tickets $5
