Produced by Visible Fictions From Glasgow, Scotland Scotland’s internationally acclaimed Visible Fictions brings to the stage this inventive, hilarious, and fast paced adaptation of the legend of Robin Hood. In a supermarket near you, a band of brothers seeks to rid the land of greedy over-abundance and return hope to the poorly treated. The “merry men” are lean, mean, fairness machines and no rogue is safe from their blazing sense of justice! From the valiant hero and his sidekick Little John, to Friar Tuck, Maid Marian, and the Sheriff of Nottingham hot on their heels, two actors take on all the roles in a madcap production where nothing is as it appears. Since its Kennedy Center debut in April 2014, Robin Hood has delighted audiences around the country with its clever and high energy staging, dialogue and antics, and keen rediscovery of the themes underlying the Robin Hood story. The Washington Post praises “this impish spin on the beloved merry-outlaw legend” in this review here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/theater_dance/robin-hood-hits-the-target-with-imaginative-play-at-kennedy-center/2014/04/01/8054cb64-b9ac-11e3-80de-2ff8801f27af_story.html Led by Artistic Director, Douglas Irvine, Visible Fictions have been touring internationally since 1991 with vibrant, high quality and accessible theatre for young people and adults alike.
