WVPT and The Paramount have had so much fun with our Downton Abbey Premiere events that we are throwing a big party to celebrate the finale! What better way to send Season Four out in style then a Roaring 1920s Great Gatsby style affair throughout the entire theater!? All proceeds benefit the missions of WVPT Public Television and the nonprofit Paramount Theater.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Party-goers arrive at 6:30PM and enjoy different ’20s inspired entertainment throughout the theater!
The Ballroom will boast jazz trio, Gabe Planas and his Speakeasy Three. Enjoy a live classic 1920′s jazz repertoire and learn some of the swinging moves of the era, including the famous Charleston, from the dancers with Terry Dean of the Terry Dean Dance Studio. Once you have mastered the moves, dancing will continue with the jazz trio on the dance floor provided by Virginia Tent Rental. Dance lessons will be conducted for all who are interested starting at 7:00PM and 7:30PM.
Venture upstairs to the Balcony Lounge which will be converted to a ’20s style piano bar! Singers Stephanie Nakasian and Hod O’Brien will be performing at the baby grand piano.
If you find you need a respite from the lively Ballroom and Balcony Lounge, venture into the Founder’s Lounge transformed into a traditional English Club with Single Malt Whisky provided by Virginia Distillery.
There will also be a fabulous raffle! Lynne Goldman Elements is pleased to sponsor the Paramount’s presentation of the Downton Abbey finale. As the exclusive source for Gotrocks Jewelry Designs by Tricia Humphreys, we have chosen three of her one-of-a-kind necklaces for a raffle to support the Paramount. These timeless designs feature vintage components repurposed into contemporary jewelry. These necklaces were chosen to represent the three generations of ladies of the Abbey and to celebrate the beauty and style of this series. Raffle tickets may be purchased either at the Paramount Box Office or at Lynne Goldman Elements and are one for $5.00 or five for $20.00.
Can you really resist these beauties?
A hearty spread will be provided by Harvest Moon Catering throughout the theater with wines provided by DuCard Vineyards and champagne by Trump Winery.
The Menu features
